One more card for the Color Throwdown #78....

Okay, I am on a roll today! I hopped over to the Color Throwdown and thought the colors were so pretty I just had to make another card! The challenge can be found here. Such soft and pretty colors--I could hardly believe I found some Soft Sky paper in my stash! I also got to use one of the new Riley stamps I just got this week. I just love that Riley! Anyway, this will be my last card for the day...thanks for stopping by again! :)
SUPPLIES:
Paper: Kraft, SU Pink Pirouette, SU Soft Sky patterned paper, white
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps: Riley, PTI Mega Mixed Messages
Accessories: Light pink ribbon, nestabilities ovals and ribbon tags, dimensionals, paper piercing tool, Copic markers.

More Valentine Cards....

Hello, and Happy Superbowl Sunday! Not sure if any of you are football fans, but I am! Unfortunately my beloved Packers did not make it to the Superbowl, but hey there is always next year! Not sure who I am rooting for today, I think I will just sit back, relax and see what happens. Of course, the commercials will be the main highlight for me--I saw a preview of one for Doritos and a dog with a "bark collar" and it looked HILARIOUS so that will be fun to watch.

Anyway, on to my valentine cards! :) I have not been able to do any crafting in so long--I just feel icky when I can't play! I may not make the best stuff but it sure is good therapy! Well, I locked myself in my craft area today, totally neglected my family for a bit and made a couple of cards. :) You gotta do what you gotta do!

These cards were made with some new paper from PTI called Simple Valentine. Got a chance to use some of my chipboard, which I might add is pretty neglected too! I also used those little clear page pebbles I mentioned in the post below. LOVE THOSE! I hope they make some more little circle images that can be used with those. I like them because they are totally "mailable", and we all know how picky the post office is these days! I also used an ancient accent I found in my stash called "Sticky Stitches". It seemed to add a nice touch and some texture to the card. I don't even know if they still sell this stuff anymore, but I got it from QVC and it came in a rainbow of colors--totally fun to play with! We have had a couple of appliances blow up on us and we have to watch our budget now, so I haven't been able to buy many new crafting items and have been digging deep into my stash. Interesting to see what I thought I could use and now it just sits there collecting dust!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope everyone enjoys the Superbowl if you watch. Time for me to go and start making yummies to snack on during the game! See you next time!

Mojo 124...

Hello Everyone and Happy Sunday! I had a chance to try a challenge and chose to try the Mojo 124 challenge which can be found here. I haven't had a chance to do any papercrafting in a few weeks and I was so glad to get back into it. This was not an easy challenge for me, but I muddled through it. I tend to make more simple cards so once in a while it is good for me to try these sketch challenges. While I am not too happy with the results, I did need a valentine card so this is what I came up with.
I used some new paper from PTI, and also used some of their little clear page pebbles to accent the little hearts. The little hearts are actually on their new patterned paper and you can punch them out with a 1/2 inch circle punch. So cute! I couldn't figure out what to use in the circle in the middle, so I used some chipboard and filled the heart in with Crystal Effects. I think it makes it look like one of those cookies with the melted candy in the middle...mmmmmm....cookies...yummy. Anyway, I am so glad you could stop by! As usual, supplies are listed below.

Mojo 120 birthday card...

Hello and Happy Saturday! Just stoppin' in to post a card I made for the Mojo Monday 120 sketch challenge, which can be found here. I needed a birthday card for my daughter. She will be 13-years-old next week. 13-YEARS-OLD!!!

Where did THAT time go??? Honestly it just seems like yesterday we were changing diapers and hurdling baby gates all over the house. Now it's all about cell phones and snowboarding and going to the mall. Today she went to a friend's Bat Mitzvah party...she was all dressed up in this party dress, looking all gorgeous and woman-like, and I was reminded of how grown up she has become.
And then I snapped out of it and hurried to finish her birthday card so I could post it here without her catching me! LOL!
Anyway, since my daughter is still quite a girly-girl, I decided to use some of the In Colors from SU and some bling on this card. I chose the stamp set from PTI called Cupcake Collection. Card ingredients are below--thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend!
SUPPLIES:
Paper: SU Textured cardstock in Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, silver cardstock, white, SU Razzleberry Lemonade DSP.
Stamps: PTI Cupcake Collection
Ink: PTI True Black Palette ink
Accessories: SU In Color markers, white mini brads, dimensionals, SU scallop punch, clear rhinestones, nestabilities.

A "challenging" birthday card!

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Well I have finally returned after a long absence. The holidays really did a number on my mojo, so I haven't been around my blog lately. I wouldn't exactly say the mojo has completely returned as I needed two challenges to finish a card, but hey it's a start! LOL!

Today I made a birthday card using a color challenge from Splitcoaststampers (CC251) which can be found here. The colors I used were SU Barely Banana, Dusty Durango and Basic Gray. There was an option for a neutral, but I chose not to use one. I also used a sketch from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC50) which can be found here. This was a fun sketch, and a pretty typical one for me to work with. My major challenge is using ribbon. I must have a few dozen rolls of gorgeous ribbon, but I have yet to be able to tie a decent bow. I decided to dig out some old ghost shapes from Heidi Swapp for this card...hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday! Happy New Year to you all!

SUPPLIES:
Paper: SU Barely Banana, SU Dusty Durango (textured), SU Basic Gray
Ink: SU Basic Gray
Stamps: TAC Birthday Wishes

Another button holiday card...

Hi Everyone, and Happy Tuesday! Thought I would drop by quick and post another card I made using the Holiday Button Bits set from PTI. I just love this little gingerbread man! Unfortunately I really stink at cutting out images. Oh well, he is still cute! As usual, supplies are listed below. I will probably not post again until after Thanksgiving, so let me take this opportunity to wish you all a safe, happy and healthy Thanksgiving holiday! Typically I am a Black Friday shopper, but I think I will be sitting this one out. I am almost sad about it, but then again I haven't seen all the sales yet. I always say I am not going out and then cave after I see the ads! Any other crazy Black Friday shoppers out there? I would love to hear all about your adventures! See you next time! Gobble Gobble!
